THE MOST HOLY TRINITY
June 15, 2025
The fundamental dogma, on which everything in Christianity is based, is that of the Blessed Trinity, in whose name all Christians are baptized.
The Solemnity of the Blessed Trinity needs to be understood and celebrated as a prolongation of the mysteries of Christ and as the solemn expression of our faith in this triune life of the Divine Persons, to which we have been given access by Baptism and by the Redemption won for us by Christ. Only in heaven shall we properly understand what it means, in union with Christ, to share as sons in the very life of God.

For decades, Congress has failed to fix the broken immigration system of the United States. It seems that the only bipartisan agreement to be found on immigration is that the system does not work. Even the most recent legislative proposal – a relatively restrictive, bipartisan bill that was far-reaching and promising – failed due to partisan political reasons.
Yep, it’s summertime again. The sun is out in full force, air conditioners are working overtime, and we wear less clothing. Off go the closed-toe shoes and sweaters, on go the sandals; flip-flops, shorts, tank tops, and breezy little dresses. But do you wear them to Mass on Sundays? Sadly, many Catholics do.
The Sacrament of Confirmation marks the completion of baptismal grace. Are you an adult who has not yet received this important sacrament? It’s time to step forward and complete your initiation into the Catholic Church.
Beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, and continuing throughout the night until 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 22, we will have an all-night adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at St. William Church. It would be an excellent time of grace if you could spend at least one hour with our Lord on this great feast of the Body and Blood of Christ (especially during the night).
For the summer months, we will hold donut hospitality on the 2nd & 4th Sunday of the month.
Included Sundays will be as follows: June 8th & June 22nd, July 13th & July 27th, & August 10th & August 24th. Weekly donut hospitality will resume in September.
Juneteenth (short for June Nineteenth) marks the day when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, in 1865 to take control of the state and ensure that all enslaved people were freed. On June 17, 2021, it became an official federal holiday. The parish office will be closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025. The 12:10 pm Mass is cancelled.
If you or a loved one are in need of Sacramental care, such as Anointing of the Sick, Confession, or Holy Communion, our priests are available to assist you. If the parish office is closed, you will hear instructions to dial 9 to reach our priest on duty at any time.
