Pastor’s Note: Summer Weekend Update

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

St. Nicholas & St. William Parish is happy to be able to return to in-person, public Masses beginning Monday June 15th.

Santa Clara County is now allowing public Masses albeit only outdoors and limited to 25 people. Daily Mass will be held, Monday through Saturday, in the St. Nicholas courtyard beginning at 8:00 AM.

Since space is severely limited, we initially request that parishioners stagger the days that they attend based upon their last name:

Last Name begins with A thru K: Come on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Last Name begins with L thru Z: Come on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Please enter from the Lincoln Ave. side. There will be ushers to direct you.

We will follow the usual directives: physical distancing; face coverings; hand sanitizer etc. It is essential that in-person worship not be the cause of further outbreaks of infection, and so we must insist on strict adherence to these safety measures.

Also, please remember that the general dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass remains in effect for all Catholics in the Diocese of San Jose until further notice.

A baby-step toward normalcy but, at least, it is a step forward.

Peace in Christ,
Fr. John Poncini
