Full authority has been given to me both in heaven and on earth; go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. -Matthew 28:18-19

Baptism Retreat Registration
Our baptism preparation retreat is designed to help you, as parents and godparents, prepare yourself to raise your child/godchild in the Catholic faith. They will enable you to take a step back from the busyness of life and help you grow in your own faith – after all, we can only give what we have received. Please sign up here at least one week prior to the retreat date. We look forward to seeing you at our next retreat!
Baptism Retreats are subject to cancellation if we do not have enough sign-ups a week before the retreat date.
Note: Our baptism retreat is for parents and godparents who are preparing for their child’s baptism. If you are interested in baptizing your child, please contact Melissa at firstname.lastname@example.org or (650) 948-2158 x2206. Thank you.
Children over the age of 7
People ages 7 and above who wish to be baptized must participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. This process runs from September through May. At the Easter Vigil following the initial discernment, both children and adults are eligible to celebrate Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Parents of children age 7 or above wishing to enter this process are highly encouraged to participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC). If you are interested, please contact Melissa Geier.
If you or someone you know is curious about becoming Catholic, we’d like to invite you to come explore your questions. We are currently forming an inquiry group to discuss and answer any questions you might have about what Catholics are all about. It’s a very informal group, and there is no obligation. If you’d like to join us, please call the office at St. Nicholas at 650-948-2158 or contact Deacon Charles Corbalis.
