Rite of Acceptance – Sunday, September 15 at 8:00 am Mass
 
Before becoming a Christian, an individual comes to some knowledge of Jesus Christ, considers his or her relationship with Jesus Christ, and is usually attracted in some way to the Catholic Church. 

We will celebrate the first of many Rites for those adults and children in our parish who are seeking the Sacraments of Initiation in the life the Catholic Church. Rite of Acceptance into the Order of Catechumens is the first of the “threshold rites” of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), and the first public ritual. In the Rite of Acceptance, a change of identity takes place: those previously known as inquirers become catechumens.
